Indie Music Month Video Premiere: The Lonely Forest, 'We Sing In Time'

As part of MTV's Indie Music Month, we're premiering videos from some of the most exciting artists in the indie music scene. Today, Washington rock quartet The Lonely Forest take their name literally in their new video for "We Sing In Time."
The video is one long four-minute reason why we stay behind our monitors and never go camping. As a teenage boy and girl approach an abandoned house in the middle of the forest -- these scenarios never end well, right? -- the ominous signs are everywhere: A knife stuck in a tree. Cobwebs as old as the house. Seriously, guys? Have you never seen a horror movie before?
We're not going to ruin this, but this probably isn't winning any "Funniest Video of the Year" awards. Still, it's a powerful, visually striking work that'll scare and sadden. Note to future campers: Knife in tree equals HEAD BACK TO THE CAR NOW.
The Lonely Forest are the debut signing on Trans, the label founded by Death Cab For Cutie's Chris Walla, who also produced, engineered and mixed the band's debut EP and upcoming LP, Arrows. "We Sing In Time" is the first single off the group's second full-length album, We Sing the Body Electric.
